From the Ancient collection. This was inspired by a lovely story shared with me by a visitor to my Regölés show. It is an Indigenous American story of how the spider was able to bring fire to people where all other animals failed, carrying a single coal in a silken basket. As someone who was afraid of spiders, it was a nice tale to help me see the Spider in a different light.
