Part of the Anchoreta collection. Based on 13th Century text Sawles Warde a book which accompanied the Ancrene Wisse and discussed how to protect the soul. It described the body as a house, the soul living in the heart. Guarded by caution, strength, judgement and measure. Ruled by wit and will who struggle over the 7 deadly sins, the senses keeping watch. One may be warned by fear but do not let fear in, instead leave room for joy to enter the heart.
