Sometimes as an artist you are in full view, doing, showing in the public eye. Sometimes you are feverishly painting or creating away, and other times you are researching, pondering, meditating or experimenting with new techniques and ideas. Either way, it is all part of the process.
Now there is also the need to keep up with web content and social media and now, this too is part of the process.
What do I mean by this? Well, I can’t speak for all artists, but for myself, creation begins with a thought. A murmur, an imagining. And just like a little seed in the ground, it needs to be nurtured so it can grow into a piece of art, or music or whole collection and/ orย a show.
In this part of the process, there is often a need to remove oneself from the everyday drag and clutter. It can simply mean being in a quiet space without distraction, or being in a whole new environment to allow new perspectives.
Over the last year, I have been blessed with a little breathing room to really delve into ideas that have been bubbling away for a while and now it is time to take a journey. A journey into the heart and a journey to another land.ย A journey of experiences and inspiration and I will be collecting it all together to share with you!
