From the Regölés collection. A collection inspired by Hungarian folk lore, song and travel experiences when visiting there.

This painting was inspired by the festival of the same name held every year in Mohács Hungary. Experiencing this was so much fun. Everyone dressed up as these characters and wreaked cheerful havoc all over the town. The festival is supposed to scare away Winter, but it is said that the sight of these characters also scared away Ottoman invaders in the early 16th century.

*All Art of Melush paintings are not framed but are stretched and ready to hang. The painted image extends around the sides of the stretcher.
